Robert Payne Cave, Jr. was born in Greeneville, Tennessee in 1975. He is licensed to practice law in the State Courts of Tennessee and the Federal Court of the Eastern District of Tennessee. Payne, Jr. earned a B.A. with honors in Geology from Bowdoin College in 1997 and studied financial accounting at Harvard University in 2002. He received his J.D. from Appalachian School of Law in 2007. He is a Partner at The Cave Law Firm, PLLC. He is a member of the Greene County Bar Association, the Tennessee Association for Justice, and the Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. Payne, Jr. is member of the Board of Directors of the Greene County Skills and was elected a 2008 East Tennessee Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40.” Currently, Payne, Jr. lives in Johnson City, Tennessee with his wife Hillary, who presently attends Nashville School of Law.
